Posted : 6/9/2011 Comments : Eight year ago my dog was torn apart by another dog that was roaming loose. My vet's hospital was closed and we found Mid Island animal Hospital on our way to an emergency hospital. They took Max right away and Dr. Zeifman saved his life. Since then I have taken all my dogs to this wonderful hospital. Everyone is friendly, caring and knowledgeable and the Doctors are top notch. My dogs get great care. Over the years I have had to put 2 of my dogs to sleep and everyone was very compassionate. I like the hours the hospital is open, I can always get an appointment and if you call with a problem after hours a doctor always calls back quickly. lynne schwartz Posted : 6/5/2011 Comments : Mid Island Hospital is a very special place. We were referred there many years ago when we had our first dog Sandy. Sandy had numerous and challenging medical issues that required a lot of time and attention. From the very first Dr. Kornet and his amazing staff of doctors, techs., and of course the welcoming office staff always treated us with excellent care, kindness and patience.Now, We have our wonderful and beautiful dog Lani a standard poodle that Dr. Kornet has watched over for almost 12 years. We have moved from the area over 5 years ago. When we bring Lani to him, she spends the day at Mid Island. She is always given the love and medical attention that means so much to all of us. She is always happy to be there. We wish you all at least another 50 year of your excellent medical care, kindness and compassion for all of the animals and their families that are lucky enough to be attended to at Mid Island Animal Hospital. The doctors confer with each other to ensure your pet grows to a ripe old age. Dr. Kornet referred to my elderly shih tzu as a V.I.D....a very important dog. Indeed, she is treated as such at Mid Island Hospital. My three pets have been patients here since 2004. Each physician treats your pet as if the animal belonged to him/her. Dr. Robeson even wears her own dog's tag on her uniform as a reminder to love your dog as she did her own. From the receptionists, to the vet techs and of course, the doctors, this hospital becomes a home away from home for your beloved furry pal. Dr. Kornet and staff have attended to my cat's partially severed tail, my elderly dog's spleen and sinus problems and now, her anemia condition. I have total faith that these wonderful doctors will seek to restore the quality of her life. Hopefully, she will reach her 15th birthday. In addition to caring for your pets, this office will show you, the owner, much understanding and guide you in caring for your pet.
